Hello and welcome to the Founding Mother experiment! I'm Stacy, a single mom and startup founder. But that's not the full story...
After working in law and helping families in high-conflict situations, I left to found a nonprofit Research and Development Institute. I loved helping individual families, but I wanted to make a lasting impact on the world around me and help to solve social issues on a larger scale, and at the root.
Well, I'm proud to share that we've since launched a blockchain-fintech startup, called MTHR, which I'm currently leading as CEO. However, as a female founder, I've hit many hurdles in securing the funding needed to take our project to the next level. Did you know that less than 1% of VC funds in my industry go to women-led startups? In fact, when I first sought out seed funding, I was told that I didn't have the right experience and that I should "rely on my network."
“My network is moms.” I laughed. But then I realized— my network is moms! And thus, Founding Mothers was conceived. So here I am today reaching out to my network for your support— and wondering why we don't lean into each other more often.
That said, it's time! We need each other and the world needs us. Because together, we can create a better future for ourselves, our children, and our communities.
That's why I'm inviting you to join the Founding Mothers Movement. We are a community of women who are passionate about making a positive impact in the world, and we're looking for like-minded women to join us. Auctions are how we raise money for our startup grants, by selling donated items and services to the highest bidder. Also, by supporting mom-owned enterprises and providing value in exchange for support, our auctions spread awareness and catalyze a community with shared experience.
Discounts
We leverage our demographic's purchasing power for collective influence, discounts, and benefits. When you join us for FREE, we're able to use that influence to negotiate with businesses for favorable terms. But don't worry, we'll never use your info without asking you first.
Investment Opportunities
Our Founders Club raises funds by pooling together investments from its members to provide seed-grant capital for early-stage startups. More info on this to come...
